When I think about it now I believe Ms. Preston removed her heels to avoid losing her balance or twisting an ankle, perhaps. Someone told me once that she might have done this because she felt she got more leverage in her stocking feet. I know one thing for sure, it was as intimidating as hell because you could tell she wanted to get down to business.
