I was stunned from what I just witnessed. Once the coast was clear, I left the bathroom and went back to class and sat down at my desk. As I passed Ms. Preston’s desk, I noticed the paddle lying on top. It was a foot long, 5 inches wide and had black electrical tap wrapped around the curved blade. I was worried that Ms. Preston was going to ask me where I had been because I had been gone for a long time, but I guess she was just too caught up in the paddling she had just administered. I remember how red Lisa’s face was when she came back into the room. She kept her head down and made a bee line straight for her desk.
